This is one of the largest sailing regattas in Africa and takes place over 10 days from the Dar es Salaam Yacht Club on the MsasaniPeninsula north of the city. More than 50 catamarans participate on 10Olympic-standard courses and it concludes with a race to Zanzibar. Quiteuniquely, dolphins are known to enjoy swimming alongside the boats. There areseveral vantage spots on the peninsula where spectators can watch.
