This is a charity event and fun (if not slightly absurd) family day out. On a formally laid out racetrack you can bet on the goat races (the ‘jockeys’ run along behind and coax them along), plus there are food and drink stalls, live bands, children’s entertainment and a fancy dress competition.

The 21st annual Zanzibar International Film Festival announces the opening of submissions for competition and screening for 2018. ZIFF is announcing two new categories for 2018, Best TV Series and Best Web Series.

Every year, at the end of February/beginning March, a standard 42.2 km marathon, a 21.1 km half marathon and a 5 km fun run will be held in the town of Moshi, Tanzania. This race has been set up to promote the sport in Tanzania, and has the official backing of the Tanzania Tourist Board, the Tanzania Amateur Athletics Association, the IAAF, and is registered with AIMS.

This event will take place between March and late May. The best time to pick are from march to late may The Wildebeest Migration, is one of the “Seven New Wonders of the World” and also known as The World Cup of Wildlife.

Live music performers interested in participating in the 15th Sauti za Busara edition in Stone Town, Zanzibar, can now send in their applications. The festival, one of East Africa’s biggest, will take place between 8 and 11 February 2018 and the call for applications is open until 31 July 2017
