Gombe Stream National Park,located on the western border of Tanzania and the Congo, is most famous forJane Goodall, the resident primatologist who spent many years in its forestsstudying the behaviour of the endangered chimpanzees. Gombe Stream’s mainattraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected in thepark’s boundaries. Guided walks take visitors deep into the forest to observeand sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning — an incredibleexperience and one that is the highlight of many visitors’ trips to Africa.Besides chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in GombeStream’s tropical forests. ITINERARY
Day 1: Fly Arusha or Dar to Kigoma
Pick up from the hotel in Dar es Salaam for and transfer to the airport for a flight to Kigoma. Arrive kigoma met and greet then transfer to the lake shore for a boat to Gombe National Park. Dinner and overnight Gombe Rest House.
Day 2: Gombe Chimpanzee Tracking
Breakfast at the rest house and proceed with gombe chimpanzee tracking into the bush escorted by the park ranger. Hot lunch in the rest house and afternoon continue with trekking to Kakombe waterfalls. Dinner and overnight Gombe Rest House.
Day 3: Gombe Chimpanzee Tracking
Breakfast at the rest house, proceed with the chimpanzee tracking in the forest, afternoon climb to Jane’s Peak. Dinner and overnight at Gombe Rest House.
Day 4: Transfer to Kigoma, fly to Dar es Salaam or Arusha
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the airport for flight to Dar es Salaam or Arusha.
