Gombe Stream National Park,located on the western border of Tanzania and the Congo, is most famous forJane Goodall, the resident primatologist who spent many years in its forestsstudying the behaviour of the endangered chimpanzees. Gombe Stream’s mainattraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected in thepark’s boundaries. Guided walks take visitors deep into the forest to observeand sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning — an incredibleexperience and one that is the highlight of many visitors’ trips to Africa.Besides chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in GombeStream’s tropical forests. Vervet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs andsmall antelopes inhabit the dense forest, in addition to a wide variety oftropical birdlife.
Day1: Arusha or Dar es Salaam to Kigoma
The Gombe Safari start by flying from Arusha or Dar es Salaam to Kigoma. Onyour arrival at Kigoma airport met and transfer to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel forlunch. Afternoon depart for a kigoma town tour where you will visit variousattractive areas in Ujiji town including the Dr. Livingstone memorial. Dinnerand overnight Kigoma Hill hotel
Day2: Tracking Chimpanzee Gombe safari
After breakfast drive to the lake shore for a boat to Gombe. Game viewing/ tracking chimpanzee in the afternoon then return back for dinner andovernight at Gombe Luxury Tented Camp.
Day3: Kakombe water falls
Breakfast at the camp and departs for a morning game viewing / trackingchimpanzee. Climb to the Kakombe waterfalls. Lunch in the Camp but in theafternoon you may choose to stay at leisure in the camp or continue with chimptracking. Dinner and overnight at the camp
Day4: Gombe National Park
After breakfast game viewing and chimpanzee tracking. Climb to Jane’s peak.Afternoon at leisure Meals and accommodation in the camp
Day5: Gombe National Park to Kigoma
After breakfast game viewing and chimpanzee tracking. Lunch in the camp anddepart by boat to Kigoma. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in KigomaHilltop Hotel
Day 6: Kigoma to Arusha / Dar es Salaam
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the airport for flight to Dar es Salaam orArusha.
